FINDING THE RIGHT SOLUTION FOR YOUR FAMILY

Every family's situation is different, and so are their legal needs and financial circumstances. That's why I've developed a comprehensive approach that provides options at different service levels:

Full Legal Representation

(Through Cottingham Hall): For complex cases involving significant assets, business ownership, high-conflict custody disputes, or when you need an experienced advocate handling every aspect of your case.

Collaborative Solutions

(Through Lone Peak Law): For couples who want to work together toward fair solutions through mediation, collaborative divorce, or settlement negotiations—typically more cost-effective and less contentious than traditional litigation.

Document & Form Assistance

(Through Lone Peak Law): For straightforward cases where you understand your situation but need help with proper paperwork, filings, and ensuring everything is completed correctly.

I found Sierra through a google search. I knew there was no way I was going to finalize my divorce without legal representation. Things were really bad, and we weren’t getting anywhere. It was causing me problems in pretty much every aspect of my life. Sierra was professional and prompt at getting back to me, and she got it done. I’m still in shock that it’s over. Now I can move forward and live

I was going through a divorce, and things were rough. There wasn't any communication from my ex, and it was causing me more money and stress trying to figure it out without legal advice. I did a google search of attorneys in my area with good reviews, and I found Lone Peak Law. I watched the videos on the website and felt comfortable with Sierra. The service was 10 out of 10. I felt like I was well taken care of. Working with my attorney taught me to never again give my power away with a joint account! This process has really been about taking back my life and my power and regaining confidence in myself and my capabilities. Thanks!

My separation was sudden, and I immediately felt out of my depth.  I knew that I needed to file divorce paperwork, but I didn't know where to start. My parents started looking online and found Lone Peak Law. My father researched the reviews and website and, we both felt good about working with Sierra.  Since my situation was unexpected and painful, I appreciated having someone walk me through all of the steps in a professional and detailed manner.  Having an attorney take on the process made me feel like I wasn't walking into the legal system blind. Getting this divorce has given me peace and physical closure to this chapter of my life.  Now that it's done, I can start taking steps forward again.

I needed to find a new attorney to help me finish my divorce and settle custody because my first attorney didn’t work out. I did some research and found Lone Peak Law. They were able to help me complete everything, and now things are settling down in my life so I can move on. I never heard from my first attorney, but Sierra or her office were always there to answer my questions. They also gave my tons of good resources to help me cope with day-to-day life in my situation, which was a huge deal for me. I feel like I can continue to use those resources to make myself a better person. Lone Peak Law was just fantastic to work with.

Meet Sierra

Sierra graduated with Honors from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law. She is a Family Law Attorney in Utah as well as a member of the Salt Lake City Estate Planning Council.

Sierra interned with the Salt Lake District Attorney’s office as a Law Clerk for the Major Crimes Unit before opening Hansen & Horton Law in 2021. She also spends as much time as possible doing pro bono work and was recognized in 2020 in Salt Lake County for her contribution to the Landlord/Tenant Volunteer Calendar that year. She continues to volunteer for Eviction and Family Law calendars each week.

Sierra also interned as the first law clerk for the new non-profit organization, People’s Legal Aid, which provides Utah tenants with representation in civil court when they are in the eviction process.  As a law clerk, she argued many cases of first impression before the court as it grappled with both new federal eviction moratoriums that conflicted with Utah law and state pandemic responses.

During law school, Sierra won a Best Oralist award after competing in the Traynor Moot Court competition at the University of Utah.  She brings her talent for oral advocacy and her passion for helping people to her clients as they navigate mediations and the legal system in Utah.
